Ambia Alsop is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) in the state of Florida who is dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and achieve meaningful personal growth. She earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology – Northern Kentucky University and Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and is passionate about supporting clients on their journey toward healing, resilience, and emotional well-being.

Ambia works with adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, relationship concerns, and adjustment difficulties. She provides individual psychotherapy services through both telehealth and in-person sessions in a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment.

Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, client-centered, and strength-based, focusing on creating a safe space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, build self-awareness, and work toward their personal goals. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Ambia is a proud mother of two children whose influence has deepened her appreciation for empathy, patience, and human connection. Her personal and professional experiences have reinforced her belief in the power of self-discovery, resilience, and growth through life’s transitions and challenges. Outside of counseling, Ambia enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures. These experiences have enhanced her appreciation for diverse perspectives and strengthened her ability to connect with individuals from various backgrounds. Ambia is committed to helping clients recognize their strengths, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful, fulfilling lives. She believes that every person has the capacity for growth and healing and considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they work toward positive change and emotional wellness.
